The State is among the national leaders in the sale of residential housing with a value in excess of 1,777 million pesos
MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN (04 / AUG / 2017) .- The sale of residential housing in Jalisco, Mexico City and Nuevo León increased by 40 percent in the period from January to May this year, compared to the same period in 2016, revealed Realty World.
According to data from the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), the real estate company said that these leading states in the sale of residential housing with a value in excess of 1,577 million pesos had increases in that period.
He noted that "Mexico City reported a 40.7 percent increase in the January-May 2017 period, compared to the same period in 2016, with the sale of 2 159 homes."
The second leading state, he said, is Nuevo Leon with the sale of residential housing for 1,185 housing units, up 4.6 percent in the January-May 2017 period compared to the same period in 2016.
For its part, Jalisco state is the third place in the sale of housing in this segment with a figure of 1099 units, representing a 6.1 percent increase in the first five months of this year, compared to Same period of 2016.
He said that other leading entities had declines such as the State of Mexico that reported a drop of 8.4 percent, with the sale of housing for 38 units for the first five months of this year, compared to the same period of 2016.
In addition, it reported that the sale of residential housing plus, with value over 3 million pesos, in Mexico City grew double digit, at 44.2 percent in the period January-May 2017, compared to the same period in 2016.
Mexico City, he said, is the leader in the sale of housing in this segment, with the number of 1,823 houses for the period January-May 2017.
Mexico City is also the leader in the total sale of new residential and residential plus with 3,223 residential homes for the period January-May 2017, he added.
According to CNBV data, he said, the total housing sales of this sector in the country reported a rise of 10.7 percent in the first five months of this year compared to the same period of 2016.
He pointed out that among entities with double digit increases, Nayarit stands out, with 80 percent in the first five months of this year, while Zacatecas reported a 200 percent increase, and the state of Aguascalientes, rose 80 percent .
